@reformatrix @CambraKeith The next verse says Blessed are you when others revile you. Slander/reviling is a type or persecution. You can call me the weaker brother all you want, but I took offense at this; especially since the 1689 confession is very robust. Even the WCF adopted 1689 language.

@ReformedBacon I just read a story about Yohannes Weldegebriel in Eritrea who was locked in a shipping container and left to cook in the burning hot sun, all because of his faith. THAT is real persecution. This is a silly meme.

A couple of prayer requests this morning. My friend Nahum is fighting the same cancer I am. We are both stage four. So I am praising God for a good report for him this morning, and I ask for continued prayers that he will be completely and miraculously healed of this cancer. Two, tomorrow I have my first scan since being re-staged to stage four. It’s been a stressful time and the scans cause a lot of anxiety, I’ll admit. So if I could ask for prayers for God’s peace and freedom from anxiety. And also that tomorrow, my scan will be clean, and there will be no more unpleasant surprises! Thanks friends.
