Vivek asked about aid to Israel. At a time when other politicians are failing these basic tests, he handles it perfectly: 1) Says he's always been for phasing out aid, and in fact he was the only major candidate taking that position in the 2020 primary 2) Says there is something unhealthy about being obsessed with this question when it's not that big a part of the budget 3) Argues against telling people that Israel is source of their problems (as is implicit in the question translating aid to Israel into a grab bag of social welfare programs) When you go to TPUSA events now, Israel apparently makes up a huge portion of questions. It is a completely disproportionate and unhealthy focus, and of course antisemitism is the motivating force. It's also tied to victimhood mentality and a turn away from individual liberty and free markets ("those could our handouts!"). You can be against aid but also point out what is going on here. Notice the end also when she asks him about lobbying Congress. His answer: I'm running to be governor of Ohio, that's not going to be my job. The expectation that people at all levels of government make opposing aid to Israel a top priority is another indication that this is about antisemitism. You can take whatever position you want, but you can't be afraid to shine a light on this, or otherwise Groyperism will win.

The U.S. government has to refund $166 billion in tariffs, PLUS interests. Trump said he would be paying Americans checks from tariffs and eventually even replace the income tax. So now not only are you not getting DOGE checks after he cancelled DOGE, you’re not getting tariff checks and paying the interests back on tariffs collected. And you are also paying $2 billion a day for Trump and Netanyahu’s war in Iran. And you are paying on avg $4 per gallon gas and inflation is rising again. The lack of humility and understanding the struggle of regular Americans is astounding to me. Trump and his lackeys demand loyalty and name call and bully yet Americans struggle more and more.

It blows my mind that just because we vote for someone they have the freedom to do whatever they want for the duration of their term, even if it’s against the majority of public opinion. The only consequence is, they won’t get reelected. That’s anarchist agenda.

At what point do senators and representatives get reprimanded for not listening to the citizens. The people have no voice. When the overwhelming population wants to stop providing military aid to foreign nations, we’re simply ignored. There can’t be democracy without enforcement.
