@mitsuhiko That’s what I do! Custom linters or custom rules for existing linters and the tests must pass. It works really well so far.

I feel like I need to start fighting this shit with more linters. They are just not listening.

Gave up on using Google search and switched over to kagi.com. The amount of ads was just unbearable, and Kagi's search results are just as good, but without the ads. Feels like a breath of fresh air. @KagiHQ

If you manage a #UnrealEngine Horde server deployment then I have wonderful news for you: Work is going into improving storage garbage collection. That includes improving the systems as well as surfacing information for admins better. github.com/EpicGames/Unre…

@KenneyNL @sanriodaily I don’t generally disagree about AI, but I must say this is not a good argument. We hire people all the time to do things we are not good at. Admitting and knowing where your limits are is good, and can be difficult for people. Remove AI and we try to encourage knowing limits.

@theo @jakkuh_t @uwunetes I was forced to use Keeper last year and much preferred 1Password. However I will say that the user management for larger organizations is better on Keeper.

@mitsuhiko Fair, I only recently started considering it and was going to go with the Aqara one based on liking their previous products. Hadn’t really looked around.

Made a change to UGS to make it clearer that UGS can generate a P4Config file. Unless you had that set you wouldn't even know this was a feature of UGS. Hoping more devs can learn about it this way. Super useful to have for IDEs. #UnrealEngine github.com/EpicGames/Unre…

I'm trying to use GitHub pull requests for RFCs (again) but I wish I could enforce that the name of the branch matches the RFC. But unfortunately you can't rename a branch after a PR was created? Is there really no way around it?

@MoiDawg Couldn’t agree more. This is why I pay for things like @KagiHQ. People often question why I pay for a search engine, but it’s just so much better and feels really good to have the privacy.

Might be a hot take, but it's okay to pay for things online. It's not okay for companies to make a product worse while also stealing your data and THEN demanding more money from you. If you like something, pay for it. If it's not worth your money, find an alternative.

The cool thing about local-first web apps is you don't have to choose anymore, which was one of the goals for Thymer: real-time collaboration, E2EE sync, and web access, while your data also lives locally and the app works offline. That means tools like Claude (or local LLMs) can get fast access to your workspace data. There's already an MCP plugin and here's a quick prototype where Claude Code talks directly to offline workspace data stored in the browser DB.
John O'Nolan@JohnONolan

Has anyone moved internal company knowledgebase from Notion to Obsidian or similar? How did it go? Starting to think about how valuable it might be for Claude to have local (as in: fast) access to all internal documents
