⭕️ NEW: Hamas Delegation Meets Turkish Intelligence Chief Over Gaza Ceasefire Violations A senior Hamas delegation led by Dr. Khalil al-Hayya met Wednesday in Istanbul with Turkish intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin to discuss implementation of the Gaza ceasefire and ongoing Israeli violations, according to an official Hamas statement. The meeting reviewed political developments and Israeli violations of the truce—continued shelling and gunfire by Israeli forces in occupied areas, the closure of crossings including Rafah, and Israeli obstruction of humanitarian and medical aid deliveries. The delegation also raised urgent reconstruction needs in Gaza, citing damage to sewage systems, road networks, and electricity infrastructure. Al-Hayya expressed gratitude for Turkey’s role in brokering the ceasefire and urged Ankara to maintain its “support and backing” for the Palestinian people across all occupied territories. He also briefed Kalin on recent meetings among Palestinian factions in Cairo, which reaffirmed commitments to the ceasefire terms: full withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, reopening all border crossings, launching early recovery and reconstruction, and transferring Gaza’s civil administration to an independent Palestinian committee. Hamas further urged mediators and international actors to pressure Israel to end its horrific abuses and systematic torture of Palestinians in its jails.

Despite mass shortages in Gaza — with Israel allowing in less than 28% of required aid deliveries, systematically banning protein-rich foods, Rafah still sealed for 20,000 medical evacuees, and civilians killed daily near the yellow line – Trump says, “Gaza is working out very well. You haven’t been hearing too much about problems.”

One of the stories I heard from a former prisoner after his release from the occupation’s jails still haunts me. I asked him about the methods of torture he endured, and he told me in a trembling voice: “They put me inside a coffin—just like those used for the dead. It was completely dark; I couldn’t see anything. There was only a small opening through which a thin tube was inserted, allowing me to drink water whenever the interrogator wanted. I stayed there for three full days, relieving myself inside that coffin and drinking whatever came through that tube. I’ll never forget that I drank things with strange tastes that I couldn’t identify—because I couldn’t see what they were giving me.” This is just one of the many brutal forms of torture Palestinian prisoners are subjected to inside the occupation’s prisons.
