@ScottLikedSLS If you wanted to watch the SpaceX live stream and watch the SpaceX live stream instead of NSF, they have their own views with their own commentary that are separate from SpaceX, so stop complaining that it’s different. Jesus Christ…

@CSI_Starbase @Alexphysics13 Gridfins treat hotstaging like steering in reverse. The -Z gridfin here is trying to correct for S39 blasting its neighbor at full power. I'm amazed with everyone working on maneuver, it's hairy to even think about. I can't make heads or tails of why the flip went the wrong way.

@WeskerIsRight Then 2 more episodes where it reveals episode 9 & 10 were a dream after the writers fuck those up, too

They should just drop two more episodes. Make the current finale a nightmare Homelander was having where he sees himself depowered and pathetic, wakes up furious, and immediately goes full scorched earth on The Boys. It'd save the entire franchise.

Flight 12: the good, the bad and the ugly The Good • they exercised the entire flight profile, plenty of data • much better debut than v1 and v2 • pre-landing approach with multiple turns looked solid • overall greatest rocket landing footage ever • devastating display of resilience for an upper stage, flying without an engine for so long and still completing a complex profile • the Mach 7 wheelies were great • good overall performance of the heat shield • deployed everything, got some nice views from outside • liftoff and first 100 seconds of flight were amazing, that thing's _quick_ • Jared! The Bad • RVac failure was very early, looked bad and was barely contained. Engine leaking visibly. • two distinct engine failures during ascent, one on booster and one on ship • stage sep was a mess but at least it got the ship going • booster appeared to have severe slosh problems likely due to the flip • the nosecone was glowing red below the heat shield at some point of the reentry... • dispenser did work but boy does it seem complicated and slow. A bit clanky. The Ugly • Booster flip was awful lol Special mention for that lonely Raptor on booster reigniting for "landing". Would not quit without a fight. 🫡

6-8 weeks at most until Flight 13, entirely dependant on what went wrong on B19

@mcrs987 @Mookafish Do you think the ship rocket exhaust hitting the booster engines could have helped mess things up and caused them to shut down?

Color-coding the engine config according to startup/shutdown sequences REALLY shows the impact of that single engine on the entire booster. 3 other engines failed to fully light before the energetic event.

A new study has shown that Raccoons are showing early signs of domestication The University of Arkansas found that urban raccoons have smaller snouts, a sign of domestication syndrome.

@OliverNerd7 Raptor relight wasn't a failure. They chose to bypass it. So not a true prophecy.

@ASHSPACEE I'd argue the most successful, deploying 45 tons to space is insane

People will still doubt and cry about Starship "failing" today due to the booster loss but V3 just performed the basics of a traditional operational launch on its first try! Liftoff, stage sep, and payload deploy (the heaviest payload since 1987)

Still they went for a landing burn regardless, but raptor 3's didn't cooperate.

When I saw S39 lose an engine I almost shat myself, luckily it managed to make its way to SECO with a glowing aft section. The SECO put it in a not normal trajectory but it is "within bounds", they are likely going to skip raptor relight so even if it splashes down it likely will delay catch to Flight 15 so imo this is not a success. But payload deploy is underway which is good. Booster 19 had a great ascent only losing one engine, on boost back it tried to ignite all 33 engines but failed. It came down light one engine for landing burn and crashed into the ocean. I would consider B19 a failure for this flight since it couldn't get through the 33 engine boost back.

@Eliorination I prefer to use reasoning beyond "oh a bunch of famous leftists are saying this so it must be true." A lot of them only seem to talk about stuff insofar as it benefits themselves. I look at both sides and decide for myself. I'm not being neutral. I'm just being careful.
