But the company limits those trucks to shorter trips to and from local ports because they only have a range of about 225 miles. The Semi, by contrast, can travel 500 miles on a single charge, according to Tesla. For King Fio that means two or three round-trips a day from Long Beach to warehouses in the nearby Inland Empire or a single round-trip to Las Vegas. She has 20 Semis on order. “The Teslas change everything,” Abarca said. “It opens up a whole different type of delivery that I can make.”

@elonmusk I think it's common whenever a society reaches a certain level of wealth. In poor cultures, children are useful property and take a big burden off the families for daily ag work. They aren't 'needed' in rich cultures.

@felicite34 Those are good. There is one other degree that I think could be valuable and that would be a business degree, like an MBA lite kind of thing. The future is for entrepreneurs and knowing how to run a business (accounting, marketing, etc) is a valuable skill.

There is a demand for technicians who are willing to travel to job sites. Us citizen, can pass a drug test, and get a security clearance. Look for a BS-EET degree. Or an associates.

AI data centers can use up to five million gallons of water each day. Am I the only one concerned about how this could pose a serious threat to our farmers and our food supply? What happens when these centers seriously strain our aquifers and dry up irrigation systems? Is it really worth it?
