For the first time ever, a Ukrainian drone was shot down over Estonia by a NATO fighter jet while it was using their airspace to attack Russia. Air raid alerts were issued in parts of eastern Estonia, which is becoming a regular occurrence for this area of the country due to repeated Ukrainian drone flights. NATO claims that the drone’s course was affected by Russian electronic warfare.

A Russian Su-35 flying over eastern Zaporizhzhia Oblast just carried out an unsuccessful interception attempt against a Ukrainian tactical aircraft in eastern Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with an R-37/77 air-to-air missile. The Ukrainian aircraft is now launching glide-bombs towards Velyka Novosilka, Donetsk Oblast.

@squatsons I changed my approach on how I observe the war. For far too long I only observed the Ukrainian side. To get somewhat a more broader picture, I also need to take sources from the Russian side. I would appreciate it if you could tag me some sources here on twitter.

@AMK_Mapping_ @SMO_VZ While Ukraine has made positive developments in their drone campaign and the cruise missile program shows some first results, the russian military still has a critical advantage in cruise and ballistic missile attacks as well as the sheer mass of drones. Hard, but true reality.

This is an An-196 drone. It flies at around 250 km/h. In this video it flew about 60 metres in 6 seconds, which equates to about 36 km/h. Electronic warfare can cause a drone to slow down significantly and "drift". We have seen similar cases of this with Russian drones in Ukraine.

It's unclear to me what deters Russia from trying to shut down traffic to Odesa at this point. There's the international reaction I guess: ships coming into Odesa aren't owned by Ukraine.
