Last week’s mistaken birthright citizenship ruling is an incentive for even more illegal aliens to come to America once a more lenient administration is in power. We cannot let radical Democrats flood our borders!! @HouseGOP MUST codify @potus’ border security wins. We must also find ways to counter SCOTUS legislating from the bench and opening up our borders to birth tourism and anchor babies.

Exactly 250 years ago TODAY, the Liberty Bell was rung to summon a crowd outside Independence Hall for the reading of the Declaration of Independence. The aptly named Liberty Bell derives its name from a scripture engraved on the bell itself found in Leviticus 25:10, “Proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof.” Another verse from the Bible expounds upon this theme…2 Corinthians 3:17, “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.” This limited government experiment established by our Founding Fathers has always been dependent upon self-governance. Whereas God ministering to our hearts/minds leads to freedom (freedom from the enslavement of fear, emotional distress, bitterness/unforgiveness, sin of all sorts, etc) and the fruit of that resulting in physical freedom as well.

This is insane. Under no circumstances should hospitals be advertising their services for anchor-baby purposes. We must hold people accountable if they are purposefully breaking/going around our laws. Many of us in Congress are doing what we can to find solutions following SCOTUS's unconstitutional legislating from the bench (versus original-intent interpretation) regarding the 14th Amendment and valid citizenship status.

Dear @SenateGOP colleagues, President Trump is right. You swore an oath to the Constitution, not the Articles of Confederation. I urge you to remember that our Founders were explicit that 2/3-type votes in the Senate or House would steal the “energy of the government” and that they desired simple majority passage for all, except for the explicit and limited number of supermajority requirements, relative to the House and Senate, that the Constitution says rise to the importance of a vote threshold above a simple majority (overriding a presidential veto, convicting an impeached official, ratifying treaties, amending the Constitution, expelling a Member of Congress, overriding the 14th Amendment). Our Founders were purposeful and intentionally eliminated the broad 2/3 voting system we previously had under the Articles of Confederation. If you don’t agree with me, please read Federalist #22 and then defend to the American people why you choose to violate the Constitution and our founders' intentions by repeatedly using the filibuster's 60-vote threshold to block important legislation, such as the SAVE America Act, from passing. Election integrity is not one of the explicit times the Constitution requires a vote above a majority threshold. AT THE VERY MINIMUM, the Senate must move toward a talking filibuster rather than the procedural filibuster they are currently using. Rest assured that the Democrats will get rid of the filibuster as soon as they get the chance.

Tomorrow, July 4th, all new wind and solar tax subsidies will officially end. This would not have happened without the efforts almost exactly one year ago where @RepChipRoy, @RepRalphNorman, @Rep_Clyde, and I refused to accept a lesser bill and voted it down in the Budget Committee to force a more conservative final product… stopping what wind energy lobbyists had kept alive for three decades. Special credit also goes to @AlexEpstein for your help in advising us as we fought for the best deal possible for American energy and ensuring President Trump’s hard fought agenda for ending the Green New Scam was truly delivered upon!
