Democrats and Republicans came together to pass a bipartisan bill to build more homes and lower costs—an important step as families across the country are squeezed by the housing crisis. Whether or not the President signs it, this bill can become law tonight. Instead of focusing on making it harder for Americans to vote, he should be focused on lowering costs and addressing the affordability crisis facing working families.

Hours without air conditioning or refrigeration meant spoiled food and medications—and serious risk of heat exhaustion. @RepGregoryMeeks and I are calling on Con Edison to provide bill credits to impacted constituents in our communities.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was a husband, a father, and a hardworking man building a life here. He had no criminal history. He was shot and killed by ICE during a traffic stop. This is unacceptable. My heart is with his family as they face an unimaginable loss, but grief alone is not enough. ICE must be held accountable.
