Thank you to my dear friend, partner and champion for moms @GovEvers for delivering for Wisconsin mothers. After decades of obstruction by Republicans in the state house, Wisconsin will finally extend Medicaid coverage for new moms to a full year after birth.

This is unhinged. The President of the United States went on a late-night rant, making clear he believes the Supreme Court justices he appointed owe him their loyalty and should always rule in his favor. The President of the United States is openly attacking the independence of the judiciary, the very institution that stands between every American and unchecked executive power. Courts don’t work for the President. They work for the Constitution. And a president attacking the judiciary for doing its job is telling you he believes he is above the law.

BREAKING: I just signed the bill to extend postpartum coverage for Wisconsin moms from a lousy 60 days to one full year after giving birth. I promised I'd never stop fighting to make sure moms and babies had the postpartum care they need, and today, I delivered on that promise.

No excuses, no exceptions: I will always stand with survivors of sexual assault. I’m committed to building a system where justice isn’t selective based on an abusers power or status. A system that delivers justice and dignity for ALL.

I've spent seven years working to pass my “Healthy Moms, Healthy Babies” initiative to extend postpartum coverage, ensuring Wisconsin moms have the care they need for up to a year after giving birth.  Today, after years of fighting to get it done, I'm going to sign it into law.

It is now the official position of the Republican Party that yes the war makes life more expensive for everyday Americans, but we don’t care and we aren’t going to do anything about it.

For Republicans now feigning concern about election integrity, I would point this out: The problem that actually exists in our system when it comes to manipulating electoral outcomes is that billionaires like Elon Musk and Richard Uihlein are allowed to flood the political system with unlimited money to drive an agenda that divides and hurts working people.

Good morning, ongoing blizzard conditions continue to make travel hazardous and dangerous across the state. Current 511wi.gov road conditions show many counties where travel is still not advised. Blowing snow, visibility and slick roads continue to be big concerns.

2:45pm Sunday: A slight southward shift in the storm track has dramatically changed our forecast. Power outages with wind gusts over 40-50mph tonight into Monday, combined with icing this evening and heavy snow overnight. Heaviest snow will be overnight through Monday morning. Blizzard-like conditions are possible. The snow will gradually taper off during the afternoon. Some areas could pick up a foot out of this. As of now, 5-8" MKE, lower Racine/Kenosha, highest NW where 8-12" is expected (maybe more in a few spots). I will get more specific later today, but wanted to get this map out ASAP. Please stay tuned for updates and any tweaks as the night goes on.

Share this information far and wide: stay home and stay safe! This is a rapidly evolving, life-threatening situation. Northern WI counties are severely impacted by the winter storm. Many roads are impassable and travel is not advised across the majority of northern counties.

As we prepare for significant snowfall that could impact much of our state, I’m declaring a state of emergency to prepare. The state stands ready to assist and support folks and local partners across our state. Stay safe, plan ahead, and take good care, Wisconsin.

It is unconscionable that this happened. This is deeply troubling and lays bare the truth of this war: it was ill-advised and we were simply not prepared, and now, tragically, these innocent children are paying the price.
