Thank you to Alamo city officials for joining us in Washington DC for STX Days! Last year, I helped bring home $2.45M for the City of Alamo’s new Public Safety Building and have previously helped secure $352,404 to fund 3 additional police officers through a COPS Hiring Program grant. It was great to hear an update on the ongoing project and discuss new opportunities to invest in the community.

By requiring an ID to vote, we can ensure the integrity of our elections. The Senate MUST pass the common-sense SAVE America Act to strengthen confidence in our voting process.

TSA agents show up every day to keep Americans safe, and they deserve to be paid for their service. If the shutdown continues, thousands of DHS employees will continue to go without a paycheck. It is unacceptable that those on the front lines of our national security are the ones bearing the burden. Democrats must vote to end the shutdown NOW.

TX-15 Casework Win: Financial Returns for Veterans! Dave Brown reached out to my team after 2.5 years of waiting for the VA to return his money that was mistakenly drawn from a prescription co-payment. The next day, my team was able to get Mr. Brown the information he needed to contact the VA and get his money back! Our team is always here to help. Today, we delivered a win: the release of Antonio Gámez-Cuéllar. To our incredible RGV community, my team, and all those who helped us along the way – White House officials, incoming DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin, and the office of Border Czar Tom Homan – thank you. Because we all came together, we were able to get the best result possible and reunite Antonio and his family. South Texans deserve a relentless voice in Washington fighting for them. From a secure border to common-sense policy solutions, I will always put our community first and secure wins for all of us.

Last year, I had the privilege of honoring Antonio and Caleb Gámez-Cuéllar in our nation’s capital when the brothers performed with Mariachi Oro. They are dedicated students and talented musicians who have positively represented our community. I have been in discussion with the White House, Border Czar Tom Homan, and incoming DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin and his team on all potential options to deliver an immediate solution for the family.
