@AGEllison in Northfield listening to residents of Viking Terrace, a trailer park, at risk of losing their homes when a new management company took control, changed rules, and raised rent. The People’s Lawyer stepped in to confront the company about the laws they were breaking.

Everyone has a right to safe housing. All tenants, incl of manufactured homes, have rights in MN law that must be respected but too many are taken advantage of. I created a new unit in my office to protect tenants & we keep winning⬇️. I’m not stopping now. ag.state.mn.us/Office/Communi…

Some of the new owner’s new rules: No gardens. No laundry lines. No nighttime walks. No kids playing in other kids’ yards. No dogs outside, even fenced in or tied up. The power to remove any guest for any reason at any time. All these broke the law & I made sure they knew it.

Watched the #January6thCommitteeHearings. The revelation that Trump endorsed the hanging of VP Pence shows what we already knew, that Trump would do anything to stay in power. He is the potential dictator our founders feared. Healing democracy requires holding him accountable.

Yesterday @reprickhansen had the gavel in the Environmental Conference committee. He brought scientists and agencies to talk about PFAS, Environmental Justice, lead, and CWD. Today the Senate brought the Chamber of Commerce testifying against health and the environment. #mnleg

From the MPCA: "climate change is real and has an environmental justice impact." Low-income communities of color are already and will continue to suffer the most harm from climate change. The House bill has provisions to address climate change; the Senate does not. #mnleg
