That is a fundamental question everyone should be asking themselves on a regular, habitual basis. Because where your focus goes your life will go. Whether you realize it or not, your life today is not an accident. It's not luck. And it's not fate. It is the direct result of what you've been focusing on day after day, thought after thought, emotion after emotion. You don't get what you want in life. You don't get what you wish for. You get what you consistently focus on. The moment you truly understand this, you take back control. Not just of your results...but of your destiny. Focus is not something you have. It is something you use. And whatever you use it on you energize. Read that again. Focus is the force behind every outcome because it determines what you see, what you feel and ultimately what you do. Think about it. Two people can live in the exact same environment, face the same challenges, have access to the same resources and end up with completely different lives. Why? Because they're focusing on different things. Your focus is like a magnifying glass. Whatever you place it on gets bigger. If you focus on what's missing, lack expands. If you focus on what's wrong, problems multiply. But when you focus on growth, on solutions, on what's possible, something incredible happens. You start to notice opportunities that were always there but invisible to you before. Life generally doesn't just suddenly change. You change the way you look at it. Most people believe their circumstances control their focus. They think, "when things get better, when I succeed, then I'll focus on gratitude. When I have confidence, then I'll take action." This is backwards. Because your focus creates your emotional state. And your emotional state drives your behavior. Change what you focus on and you change how you feel. Change how you feel and you change what you're willing to do. Focus is a powerful tool in the arsenal of the success mindset. Did you know this is a Biblical principle? Roman 8:5 says, "Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires." What are you sowing to? Because your focus determines the rewards of your actions. Are you going to reap the rewards of the spirit which is life, liberty and abundance? Or will you reap to the rewards of the flesh which is death, bondage and scarcity? I'm not referring to monetary results only. Money is simply a tool. I'm speaking of the weightier rewards in life, joy, happiness, peace, unity, love, patience, endurance, generosity, clarity, strength, power and all that which is good. True rewards that benifit both yourself and those around you. Because the rewards of the flesh are despair, unhappiness, anxiety, division, hatred, fragility, malevolence, confusion, weakness, powerlessness and all that is terrible. Set your mind on things of the spirit. Set your mind on the one whose spirit lives inside you, Christ Jesus. Place your full faith and trust in Him and He will direct your paths. He will lead you to living waters. He will plant you by the rivers edge and produce good fruit in its season. But only if you know Him. Only if you accept Him into your life. If you have never done this. If you don't know Him. If you have never met Him...don't lose heart. You can know Him today. He is waiting for you. He stands at the door of your heart waiting for you to open it. I pray you encounter Him today. I pray you will receive Him into your heart and begin to live a life full of purpose and fulfillment.
