Ubisoft redemption arc. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is looking fantastic. Like a return to the old Ubisoft before all the BS that destroyed the studio. I have to say this makes we want to play the game. Some details: - Remake with anvil engine. - Upgraded combat - New content: new quests, characters and story - No multiplayer mode, focused on Edward's Caribbean story. A lot of original devs returned to help make this. Up for preorder now. Ubisoft really lost their way, culminating in the scuttling of the company and spinning of the best IPs to a new Tencent invested entity. Gotta say it's looking like they are starting to make the right moves.

Så hoppede han på den slidte woke kæphest, hvorefter danskere, der siger sandheden og vil stoppe vores folks udskiftning pålægges skyld i at skabe had og ufred. Det er jeg uenig i. Forskningen viser, at det er masseindvandringen, der skaber splittelse og mistillid imellem grupper - Ikke dem, der siger sandheden. Danskernes beskyttelse kræver, at vi stopper udskiftningen og kommer videre fra den umandige besættelse med at kritisere tonen i debatten.

@Resopheed @ShitpostRock2 Ok so mention design? Newer games are designed better. Once you start going back generations those old games are outdated by today’s standards and are objectively worse.

@PipFeen @ShitpostRock2 And I think you're inflating the importance of the technical improvements. You don't even mention DESIGN. Games look prettier and play smoother, but design is consistently being made simpler and more homogenous.

@Resopheed @ShitpostRock2 That technical improvement is improvement from the gameplay, to the graphics, the scale of the game, all the way down to the story and immersion. Really the only thing you can argue for older games is atmosphere and music.

@PipFeen @ShitpostRock2 Maybe in terms of technical aspects, but there's nothing else that inherently makes a new game "better" than an older one. Mechanics and design becoming more "refined" does not make games inherently better.

@ShitpostRock2 Making a list of "Best" anything almost always leads to this. It always becomes a victim of recency bias and broad appeal, and then have a few olds sprinkled in. It's why I find lists like this almost completely useless, and prefer more personal ones.

@ZubyMusic Peterson said it best: "There is no difference between thinking about yourself and being miserable." Constantly having to evaluate your subjective wellbeing will drive you mad. Therapy has its uses, but most the vast majority of people do NOT need it.

When I was younger, I never heard about anybody going to therapy unless they were a war veteran or victim of some horrific crime. And people were saner and better regulated back then. I'm not convinced modern therapy helps most people. The opposite is possible.

@wesleytypes I'm of the view that a remake should always include a playable copy of the original version of the game, like the MediEvil remake did. Both to see "How far we've come" but mostly for the sake of preservation.

Even the best remake should never replace the original.
