@FrenchyBam @ShamsCharania It’s not an admission, it’s a good faith agreement. Rozier was investigated and cleared once a year before his trade by the nba. Hornets traded him and he investigated again while he was on the Heat for a separate incident 10 months later. No foul play by the hornets.

The Hornets are essentially writing a $50k-ish check (value of a late 2nd-rounder) to make the Heat go away and close the books on this whole mess. It’s a low-key admission that Charlotte (and maybe the league office) were not exactly transparent when they shipped Rozier east in January 2024.

The Hornets are active in the market to find an impact starting center for their young core. Domantas Sabonis and Nic Claxton are two targets to monitor. Charlotte can build a package around expiring contracts of Collin Sexton, Pat Connaughton + salary filler and draft capital.
