If you think thats what its about then you clearly don't understand Souls and soulslikes are a genre of game that is SUPPOSED to be challenging. Once you start adding this shit the genre loses its soul. Having different modes on launch also takes away from whatever the hard mode is, as its usually an aftertought with buffed hp for enemies and more damage taken which is just a lame way to do it. Its also the thing of all of us playing the same game on the same mode. You struggle on a boss, the guy next to you is doing the same version. With easy mode that goes away. If you can't understand that then get in the bin ya smelly cunt

Thank you Part of the experience is having to fight the same boss on the same mode as everybody else. Talking about it, making strategies.. that goes away if the next guy played on 'butterfly guidance' while you're on the hard mode Not to mention harder modes suffer as they're usually an afterthought with ramped up enemy health and damage taken

@M4rioZ @RestoreTheWeb @Liesofp It’s not elitism. Difficulty in Soulslikes have a specific purpose. It is supposed to guide the player and create obstructions and strategy in levels. Difficulty in Soulslikes is basically their level design. Removing it makes the game feel empty and monotonous.
