Pleased to work with the Telegraph to uncover a large Romanian scam around student loans.
'The number of Romanians taking loans of up to £13,000 is nearly four times higher than the closest other nationality and second only to the 1.1 million British students borrowing money to fund their studies.'
Figures I obtained from Government...
'Student loans claimed by Romanians have tripled in five years, rising from 25,046 in 2019/20 to 78,325 in 2023/24 and dwarfing the 19,653 Polish nationals receiving funds.'
This is insane.
It shouldn't take this investigation to uncover these figures - it's OBVIOUSLY fraud.
I'm pleased that changes have been pledged by Government. This now needs to be urgently implemented.

You can say all this stuff but you need an actual plan.
So here are the options...
1. Raise taxes / tax the rich - well many have already left and more will leave, reducing tax receipts. The tax burden is already a joke.
2. Increase borrowing - well this inflates the money supply which means prices increase. This makes life less affordable for the poor and middle-class but makes the rich richer as it inflates assets too.
3. Massive economic growth - this will require reduced taxes and deregulation. Will this happen?
You see Narinder, economic reality does not care about your feelings, so please, just tell me how this will be achieved. I really want to understand.
