@RetroRepairer Back in the day, we used to draw pixel art with a keyboard or even a joystick! As far as I remember, SNK as a whole didn’t fully switch over to using a mouse until around 1994.

#SNK #NEOGEO #開発 #ネオジオ The white, horizontally long and slim piece of hardware shown in this photo is the ART BOX, a dedicated development tool for the NEOGEO. Development began around 1991, and as far as I remember, it was rolled out company-wide around 1992. At first, it supported keyboard input only, but later gained mouse support. I believe the mouse version became widely adopted across the company from around 1993 onward. The former Irem team and the Tokyo development team began using it earlier than others, partly to help debug the tool itself while the mouse version was still under development.

@topvint Lack of motivation, says no one is interested in Lynx 1. I have suggested it to @zaxour as a project, because he seems very handy at ribbon designs and it would fill a notable gap in the retro scene.😁

@RetroRepairer Indeed, they provide a ribbon for the Game Gear, so not sure why this is so different. I guess is all about putting time down in designing it.

@faeldaniel Last year, a local seller in Melbourne, Australia had pallets of these to shift for $90AUD each. There were stacks 17" variants as well for $60AUD.
