@redescience @Shamburgularara It is Sybil resistant insofar as it is very hard to create several ORCID ID's with legitimate additional credentials, like publications, code, data, or affiliations which can be checked by an external party. A nice feature is that ORCID also states the source of any information.
English

@RetroxPGF @Shamburgularara if anyone can make an ORCID (and they can) it's not Sybil resistant.... unless you impose further permissions
English

@redescience @Shamburgularara The specific parameters depend entirely on the type of scientific research /review format, but we had these thoughts in mind when designing the p33rreview protocol. Hope that makes sense.
English

@redescience @Shamburgularara Reviews can be conducted by anyone, but the editor/approver can check for conflicts of interest and verify the reviewers subject specific expertise with their ORCID. One is unlikely to get a high quality review in a specialized research field from a non-specialist.
English

@redescience @Shamburgularara This permissionless protocol anonymizes reviewer identity, yet requires authentication with ORCID - Eth links for submitters and editors. We'd love to see an implementation of it for a DeSci conference or a Journal. p33r.vercel.app github.com/elmariachi111/…
English

@Shamburgularara A permissionless protocol that anonymises identities and blurs authorships would be ideal or at least one of the solutions
Otherwise, bottlenecks and gatekeeping will naturally precipitate and we are back where we started. They already do

Check out our DeSci London roundup: mirror.xyz/retroxblog.eth…. We had a great time - won another hackathon and shared our ideas about web3 credentials. We'd like to thank the organizers @DesciLondon and give a huge shoutout to all the great people we interacted with.
