I struggle to see the justification behind ~100m on Tonali. Has elite qualities (intensity, duel winner, ball striking) but ones already in the squad. Passing is better than marketed but it's when facing play. He struggles to play on the half-turn & is poor in smaller spaces.

@ThfcSass he's an excellent player, make no mistake about it. I just think there are better ways for us to spend the sum required to get him.

Yeah this is very true I mean all of the big sides are going for Prem Proven all rounders rather than proper specialists, our ball progression has been SUCH a big issue that we've become obsessed with that pass first midfielder so if we get linked to a midfielder that isn't a Wharton for example we all question it, but this would undoubtedly be an excellent signing

He ain’t a passer, not by a long shot (which is what we need) but he’s a huge name that you just can’t turn down. Then you ask the question, can we target a passer who is that big name also and can splash that cash to make us even better?

A passer is not as important in my opinion due to bringing in Senesi and JPVH.

Spurs fans - No real updates the last few days. Senesi and Robertson obviously all done and signed. Savinho is done. Everything agreed between City and Spurs and personal terms. Only a matter of time before it’s announced. As of typing this, there’s been no new bid for Van Hecke. But everything I’ve been told points to the next bid meeting Brighton’s valuation. He’s agreed personal terms on a 5 year contract. Spurs are NOT interested in Vlahovic. No approach. Not been given any definitive names for their striker search. I’m told it’s very likely Summerville now goes abroad. Savinho and Summerville were their top winger targets. Spurs very interested in Morgan Gibbs-White still. I’m told Brighton gave a valuation to Spurs when asked about Verbruggen. And that price was very high. 20+ names given to me of players that Spurs have an interest in, most of them in central midfield and wingers.
