El-Rufai’s Family, Kaduna Senator Protest DSS Detention
dailytrust.com/el-rufais-fami…
Deutsch

@xagreat Did the DSS arrested El-Rufai for opposition or Phone - tapping etc.?
English

@Arhermad Please, DSS look for another good reason and rearrest El-Rufai again for a peaceful election in the North .
English

After Nasir El-Rufai became involved in a case with the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission(ICPC), his lawyers applied for bail, which was granted at the sum of one hundred million naira(100M). However, the Department of State Services (DSS) later detained him over allegations concerning Phone-Tapping he allegedly made to the National Security Adviser, an issue he personally spoke about on national television a few days ago.
Lesson:
If you choose to dig a pit of evil for others, make sure you prepare for the possibility of falling into it yourself. In life, people eventually reap what they sow. Many believe Nasiru Elrufai is now facing the consequences of some of the actions and treatment he meted out to others during his time as governor, and that God is beginning to show him the rewards of his deeds even in this world.
May Allah help us overcome the negativity within our hearts.

@felixherbt @WorldBankGroup You can't stop Nigeria Government from getting loans, but, you can stop them from misappropriation of the loan if you have the brain 🧠.
English

Dear @WorldBankGroup,
These are part of the learning environment in Nigeria, a country where you frequently approve billions of dollars in loans to…
Will you still approve loans to Tinubu when citizens stand to gain nothing? not even clean water, hospitals, electricity, food, or good roads?
Please stop destroying our nation through loans!

PRESS RELEASE
End This Political Vendetta Now: @atiku Calls for El-Rufai’s Immediate Release Before Eid Kabir
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has called on federal authorities and the Kaduna State Government to immediately release former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, condemning his continued detention, especially at a time when Muslims across Nigeria are preparing for the sacred Eid Kabir celebrations, as cruel, unjustifiable, and deeply troubling. He described the development as a disturbing assault on civil liberties, democratic decency, and the rule of law, raising grave concerns about the deployment of state power to intimidate perceived political adversaries.
This was contained in a statement issued by Atiku’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, who described the continued detention of the former Kaduna State Governor as deeply troubling, politically provocative, and wholly inconsistent with the principles of justice, democracy, and basic human decency.
“At a time when millions of Muslims across Nigeria and around the world are preparing to celebrate Eid Kabir — a sacred season of sacrifice, compassion, forgiveness, and family reunion — it would be unconscionable for any government to weaponise state power in a manner that denies a citizen his liberty without just cause, particularly in circumstances that raise legitimate concerns about political persecution.
“Mallam El-Rufai, regardless of political differences or shifting alliances, remains a Nigerian citizen entitled to the full protection of the Constitution, including his rights to dignity, liberty, and due process.
Democracy does not grant the government the licence to punish dissent, settle political scores, or deploy coercive institutions as instruments of intimidation.
“The Federal Government and the Kaduna State authorities must understand that selective justice is injustice. The credibility of any democracy is measured not by how it treats loyalists, but by how it treats perceived opponents.
“If Mallam El-Rufai is being held on the basis of any legitimate legal process, the authorities owe Nigerians full transparency. If not, then his continued detention can only reinforce growing fears that our democracy is sliding dangerously toward intolerance and authoritarian excess.
“Eid is a time for mercy, reconciliation, and humanity. There is absolutely no justification for keeping a man away from his family during such a solemn and spiritually significant occasion, especially where due process has not been clearly demonstrated.
“Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar therefore calls for the immediate release of Mallam El-Rufai and urges all relevant authorities to rise above political bitterness and act in the interest of justice, peace, and national cohesion.”
Signed:
Phrank Shaibu
Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, Vice President of Nigeria 1999-2007

Two Igbo Christian terrorists abducted a bishop, collected a ransom, murdered him, and fled with his vehicle. They were finally tracked down and arrested by the police while attempting to sell the stolen jeep.
Had the terrorists not been caught, many ethnic and religious propagandists would have wasted no time blaming Fulani herders for the atrocity. The accusation would have spread rapidly across social media, amplified by the sympathizers of IPOB/ESN terrorists and those who enjoy anti fulani narrative and anti Muslim campaigns.

“I killed Bello, my friend, because he sent me three million naira to help him secure a job at the Federal Inland Revenue Service, where I work.
“We were former colleagues at Kaduna Electricity Company from 2017 to 2024 before I resigned.
“He asked me how I got the job, and I told him I bought it. He then sent me three million naira, and on Sunday, I called him to meet me at Muhibba Filling Station to collect his job offer letter.
“I had already stationed some boys outside. When he arrived, we locked the door and tried to tie him up. During the struggle, my hand entered his mouth and he bit off one of my fingers.
“One of the boys brought out a pestle and hit his legs, making him weak. We tied his hands and legs and also hit him twice on the head.
“The two boys later brought his car. I opened the gate for them, and we put him in the boot. I then drove the car to a garage close to Bristol Palace Hotel.
“I blame the devil for this.”
— Sadiq Zubairu, tax officer at the Federal Inland Revenue Service.
This happened on 12 May, 2024. I hope he is still serving jail term???

500 Billion Allegation: When Nigeria’s Energy Sector Becomes a Crime Scene
Let us be honest, when the head of a national energy institution is arrested over an alleged ₦500 billion fraud, Nigerians should not treat it like ordinary breaking news.
This is not small money. This is not office mismanagement. This is not the type of allegation that should disappear after two news cycles. This is ₦500 billion in a country where millions of citizens are battling high electricity tariffs, poor power supply, expensive fuel, collapsed purchasing power, and a daily struggle to survive.
According to reports, EFCC operatives arrested Mustapha Abdullahi, Director-General of the Energy Commission of Nigeria, in Abuja over alleged money laundering involving more than ₦500 billion. He is reportedly in EFCC custody for further investigation.
The painful question is simple: what exactly is happening inside Nigeria’s energy sector?
Every year, Nigerians hear big grammar about reforms, renewable energy, energy transition, electricity expansion, national development, climate financing, and infrastructure improvement. But behind the speeches, the sector remains one of the most frustrating symbols of failure in the country.
Citizens are paying more for darkness. Businesses are spending more on diesel and petrol. Families are budgeting for generators like it is a second rent. Students are reading under rechargeable lamps. Small businesses are dying because power is unreliable. Yet, somewhere in the same system, allegations of hundreds of billions are emerging.
This is why Nigerians are angry.
If EFCC can arrest opposition figures with speed, raid private homes with confidence, and parade internet fraud suspects with camera quality, then this case must not be buried quietly. Nigerians need names, documents, timelines, beneficiaries, accounts, contractors, approvals, and political connections.
A N500 billion allegation cannot be handled like gossip.
It must be handled like a national emergency.
This case must not end with one arrest and press silence. It must lead to full disclosure, prosecution where evidence exists, recovery of public funds where theft is proven, and institutional reform to stop energy agencies from becoming private feeding bottles for powerful people.
Nigeria cannot be in darkness while public money allegedly disappears in daylight.

Former Power Minister Saleh Mamman sentenced to 75 years in prison over ₦33.8 Billion fra¥d
The Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, to 75 years imprisonment after finding him guilty of fra¥d and money la¥ndering involving about ₦33.8 billion.
Justice James Omotosho convicted Mamman on all 12 charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The court handed him seven years imprisonment on 10 counts, while he received three years and two years respectively on counts four and five. The sentences are to run consecutively, with no option of fine except on count four where he can pay ₦10 million.
The court also ordered the forfeiture of foreign currencies and four Abuja properties linked to the fraud.
Justice Omotosho said the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt, stating, “The evidence of the prosecution is overwhelming as against the scanty and almost absent defence of the defendant.”
He added, “The defendant did not offer any credible evidence to rebut the prosecution’s case.”
The court found Mamman guilty of paying $655,700 cash for a property in Abuja without using a financial institution. He was also convicted over funds diverted from the Mambilla Hydroelectric Power Project and Zungeru Hydroelectric Power Plant projects.
The judge said, “Rather than creating a legacy to tackle the epileptic power supply in the country, the defendant was living large at the expense of ordinary citizens,” adding, “Little wonder that Nigerians have remained in darkness till today.”

200 Level UNIBEN Student, Girl Friend, Others, Killed Over Alleged Unsettled 90 Million Naira Fraud Deal.
I’m EBEN ENASCO, Silverbird Rhythm 93.7 FM News Reporting.
New details are emerging in the killing of a man said to be a 200 Level Undergraduate at the University of Benin, UNIBEN, main gate on Sunday evening.
Police in Benin City are currently investigating the killing of the Undergraduate shortly after he was said to have completed his Semester Examinations.
One of the victims identified as Alexander Omogiate, a 200 political science student was shot multiple times at a close range in his JLK Mercedes Benz by some masked men at the main entrance of the University complex.
Three other occupants, Identified as Onwuke blessed, Chinenye Christian Mbagwu, and Dorothy Ubah were hit by stray bullets where they sustained grave injuries and rushed to the University Teaching Hospital.
Dorathy Ubah who was hit by the stray bullet was said to have died on Monday as a result of the bullet's wounds.
The second person, identified as a girlfriend to the deceased Alexander Omogiate was also killed in another attack at Airport road axis by the same unknown gunmen few hours after the attack at UNIBEN main gate.
The roving assailants were also reported to have killed another unknown name at the Uselu axis.
Although the Police have not confirmed the motive behind the killings, unconfirmed reports link the killings to a dispute over an alleged 90 million naira internet fraud deal.
A source under anonymous condition who spoke with our correspondence Alleged that, two weeks ago, the issue had degenerated where one of the suspected assailants tracked the now deceased Omogiate to the class, to share the millions for the benefit of others.
The issue, according to the source, was settled, as the late Omogiate promised to give their part to them.
A week later, it was learned that the deceased initially agreed to pay, but later refused. That refusal, the source said, escalated tension on campus before the attack.
This according to the source led to anxiety as those who couldn't get their part of the millions, resorted to direct confrontation. Dangerous weapons like machetes and other sharp objects were used as a few people sustained injuries.
On Sunday evening, it was the last day of their exams and the bubble burst when Omogiate was trailed from the class by the suspected course mate to the main gate where they shot at his car multiple times. He died immediately as the masked assailants drove off shooting in the air to scare bystanders.
In the meantime, the Chairman of the university’s anti-cult committee, Venerable Egbenusi, has resigned.
In a statement obtained, he alleged the Vice Chancellor to have threatened him to delete video clips of the incident of the Cutlass chase pre the shooting at the main gate.
Egbenusi said he sent clips of suspected cult activity to the VC hours before a man was shot dead at the main gate on Sunday. He sent more clips after the killing.
He claims the VC called minutes later, demanding the videos be deleted within five minutes, and threatened to evict him from the Chapel Vicarage.
Egbenusi said he refused, insisting evidence must be preserved for investigation. He called the VC’s actions an “assault on the office of the University Chaplain.”
UNIBEN management and the Edo State Police Command are yet to respond.

@ADCVanguard_ That's the real truth about Zoning Nigeria period!
English

The zoning argument against Atiku may sound sharp, but Nigerians are not suffering because of zoning. They are suffering because leadership has failed. In 2027, the real question is not North or South alone. It is who can fix hunger, insecurity, jobs, power, inflation and national trust.
Zoning can guide politics, but it cannot replace competence.
Should Nigerians vote in 2027 based mainly on zoning, or based on competence, performance and the ability to rescue the country?

@Onsogbu My friend he is very correct, but, you said he came with some trucks, you mean trucks to carry 150 bags of cement ❓ the truth is, he will win you if he happened to take you to court, because, he has been sick, you should have changed him for keeping the bags of cement only .
English

I sell cement at the market here in Abeokuta. A customer came to pay for 150 bags of cement, collected receipt and disappeared for over 4 months.
Yesterday, he came back with trucks to carry the cement. He said he had been seriously sick since the day after he made payment, that’s why he couldn’t come earlier.
I explained to him that the price of cement has increased since then and he needs to add more money before carrying the goods. I even offered to refund the exact amount he paid back then if he’s not comfortable.
Omo, the man got angry immediately
He said he’s not adding any money and he’s not collecting refund. According to him, “na the cement wey I pay for I wan carry.”
He even threatened to drag me legally next week.
Before he drags me, that’s why I said I should ask if I’m really wrong because honestly, market price don go up and I no wan lose money o.
Pls what do I do now I need your advice it seems this man wants to chêât me ?
