The Oregonian calls Measure 114, Firearms restrictions ballot measure: Passes. Measure 114 would require Oregonians to pay a $65 fee for a permit to buy a gun and would ban the sale or transfer of magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

@ColinB_PDX @CeasefireOregon, can you explain the safety course and implementation to Colin, a friend of mine? You can explain it better, I’m sure.

@ColinB_PDX That’s the one fair criticism of the initiative, in my opinion. It’s the same system in place for concealed permits. The legislature could change the permitting process during the implementation phase of the legislation. That’s not a reason to vote against 114.

Peace be with you on your journey! I understand Texas is probably more in line with your philosophy, though you’ll have to deal with higher rates of gun violence. In any case, there are still lots of votes to count.
