JUST IN: U.S. inflation jumped to 3.8% (y/y) in April--> the highest in three years. This is painful for Americans, especially moderate-income households. Inflation rose 0.6% in the month of April due to soaring gas prices that accounted for over 40% of the increase. Rising shelter and food prices also pushed up inflation. Core inflation (which excludes food and energy came in at 2.8% (y/y) in April

The massive Utah data center, called the Stratos Project, will be as big as 2,000 Walmarts, will need 9GW of electricity to run, and will generate the heat equivalent of 23 atom bombs detonating every single day in Hansel Valley. The expected impact of wildlife is catastrophic. sltrib.com/news/environme…

President Trump is 100% right about the Pope. I’m a Catholic but I’m an American first. The Pope has decided he will use his mandate to attack Trump basically ad nauseam. He doesn’t do that with other world leaders. It’s Trump hate on repeat. The Pope is NOT infallible on matters of politics and frankly he should shut up about them when it’s just the same old liberal talking points on repeat. We get you’re a pussy-hat wearer, Leo, we get it. Now, please. Focus on uniting the church.

I’ve heard from a lot of Utahns over the past week about the proposed data center project in Box Elder County. Many are asking questions about water, air quality, energy, land use, and the long-term impact on rural Utah. Those are real concerns, and all Utahns should expect clear standards and accountability. Industry is our state’s motto. And in our pursuit of economic strength, we must always ensure that development is thoughtful and in line with Utah values. Based on conversations with residents, local leaders, subject matter experts, and project stakeholders, the following actions are now being taken regarding this project. 🧵
