@thejosiahm For her to reply that way, she most likely didn't find it offensive and is even thinking in the same direction you are.

I was texting a close friend last night, and I don't know, I slipped and made a sexual joke; I saved it with an 'I'm just kidding.' Her response genuinely had me panicking for like 5 minutes before I could reply. Yeah, she was probably being playful and all, but idk idk idk.

This is so so heartbreaking mehnnnnn. So so heartbreaking. Only the death sentence will be fitting for these monsters. Only death. They do not deserve to be alive on public funds.

Welcome to Nigeria, Obowo Imo state. An old man like this asked this small girl out...a young nursing student by name Wendy and as a good girl that knows she came to school to study....she turned him down. At night, the man who is a vulcanizer went with his friends to where the girl lives...they took turn in r@ping her and during the struggle... the girl recognized one of them and even gave him a mark on the neck...then they decided to slit her throat, lock her door back quietly and left..... These monsters of men were captured yesterday... Government should just take them to court let the law speak on their behalf. Wishing them whatever they wished themselves.

Mehn. This was funny and sad at the same time. I think we might want to hold back on some retorts that pack enough emotional punch to ruin like this one.

@OehtD @YarKafanchan Exactly. I really miss her on the movement. She has tact. Something that can't be said for a lot of the people around PO, sorry to say.

For you to say this nonsense, it is very obvious you have never traveled. You think garri is only processed in one part of Nigeria??? There is Ijebu Garri, Garri Ngwa and plenty other variations. Garri was brought by the Portuguese. All parts of tropical Nigeria produce it.
indomiegirl🍜👩‍🍳@Aimane_hin

When I started reading this, I made a tiny bet at the back of my mind that he would definitely mention the issues Nigerians are facing in South Africa, and of course he did. This is my president.
Peter Obi@PeterObi

Earlier today, I arrived in Cape Town, South Africa, to take part in the Spier Dialogue 2026, an important event centred on the future of Africa and the urgent challenges facing our continent and the globe. The Spier Dialogue occurs at a crucial time as Africa grapples with significant issues in governance, democracy, economic inclusion, urbanisation, migration, and leadership. However, it also highlights the vast opportunities presented by the energy and creativity of our young population. As leaders and stakeholders gather from various regions, I look forward to partaking in insightful discussions, especially as I have the privilege of addressing attendees tomorrow on policies geared toward growth. Africa’s future should not be characterised by poverty amid abundance or by division instead of development. It is time for us to transition from consumption to production, from divisive politics to politics built on competence and compassion, and from mere promises to tangible progress that serves everyday citizens. Upon my arrival, I had the opportunity to meet with the Nigerian community in Cape Town for a heartfelt discussion about the recent challenges affecting African expatriates in South Africa, resulting in over two hours of fruitful dialogue. I remain dedicated to advocating for a New Nigeria and a New Africa—one where governance genuinely serves the people, where the youth are equipped with education and opportunities, and where leadership is founded on integrity, service, and sacrifice. A New Nigeria POssible. -PO

I went to secondary school in Barkin Ladi 20 years ago. This is what SS1 - 3 boys were doing, night shifts in the blistering cold. I did it too. My mates in Oyo were sleeping or studying. I’ve watched this shit deteriorate in real time. Barkin Ladi now looks nothing like it did when I graduated 14 years ago. I went to the same junction we used to buy stuff during outings last year & I was shaking. They don’t speak the same language. Crisis after crisis. Slowly, the people who used to till those lands are now doing menial jobs in the south. The names of the villages have changed. The senator representing that region was killed few days after I graduated when he attended a mass funeral of people who were massacred by the Fulanis who now occupy their homes. 14 years ago guys. Trying to raise awareness about this state-backed conquest feels like screaming under water. Few months ago, my aunt in mangu came to ask for money to trade cause she can’t farm anymore. Their farms were attacked 3 years ago. They wouldn’t dare go back. For more than 10 years, we’ve had internally displaced persons from Borno living in our house, after my mother took them in. They only go back to their so-called homes for funerals. 3 brilliant kids; Elizabeth, Margaret and Grace (named after my now late mother for her benevolence). The dad does security work, the mom cleans. Who knows what they could’ve made of themselves back home? I do, they’d have been compost for aliens. It always starts small then it spirals out of control. We’ve seen all kinds of terror. I wish they just came and shot people but that’s not fun enough. Bullets are for runners. They’ll slice pregnant women open to kill their fetuses. They’ll feed women their kid’s fingers. They burn people alive, hack them with machetes. When people try to defend themselves, that’s when soldiers come in. They call it farmer-herder clashes. They say cattle was rustled. Cattle was rustled? That’s why you renamed my village and put 200 people in a mass grave ? I remember @YarKafanchan saying that she wept after the 2015 elections cause she knew her people would die like flies & then what happened in southern kaduna? When people talk, they say where’s the evidence? But what about the bodies? Dying is a morbid thing to be skilled at but boy, we have experience. We’ve seen “strategists” platform them and defend all manner of wrongdoing on the alter of political correctness. Omoh, let me just stop here.
