Youth Football/Soccer Coaches, Ditch the long lectures! Young kids attention spans are short, think goldfish level. Instead, drop bite size coaching points: "Can you look to control the ball first instead of just kicking it!" Quick, clear, and they stick better. More fun, less zoning out. ⚽️😃

@3four3 Last part … yes soccer needs a bit more help since it’s not our culture. But any fool can see absolutely we get the worst ROI in USA compared 2 all other sports when looking @ actual knowledge/skill/ability of avg player and all the $$ spent. 3four3 has helped in big way though.

Coaches should be paid for their time and energy - this should not be controversial. And no, the extreme majority of coaches are not remotely making 6 figures. Most all paid coaches are getting paid peanuts relative to their time, energy, and other jobs in the economy. "At the end of the day it’s for the kids" That can be said with just about anything. So everyone working on products and services that go to kids should do that for free? Should teachers work for free? Should daycare/babysitters work for free? @3four3 Part 3. I’m now 60. When younger every coach had a job and coached on the side … loved the sport and gave back. HS coaches made like $800 a season. This model worked into the 80’s. Then came all the experts and such. Then the Clubs. 40 years later … slightly better way 2 much$

@3four3 Part 2… There was an interesting documentary about how Iceland won the most winter Olympic gold metals past two Olympics. Their youth sports model is the answer. All included, keep costs down, competition not so important… and there’s an actual bill of rights for kids.

@3four3 Few thoughts … youth athletics in this country is troubling. Less kids participate, the cost for any sport is gong way up, serious competition is entering younger ages (those games don’t matter) and more “experts” claiming to be the answer. Very unhealthy atmosphere.

@3four3 I will say that it doesn’t need to be as expensive for the beginning years. Fancy uniforms, traveling several states away to play local teams in tournaments. Hotel rooms and such. It’s an overpriced circus ride that is very mediocre as far as actual development is concerned.
