Here in MN, I had to take the permit to carry course ( 4 hours including a firing course) then I receive a certificate. after that I have to make an appointment to turn that certificate In and fill out more paperwork (cost $100 to do) then I have to wait up to 30 days to receive my permit. I also had to fill out a permit to purchase which is also a 30 day wait. Even after all that, when you go to purchase said firearm there is a cooling off period ( a wait period before you can obtain/posses the firearm) 🫩

Many people outside the United States assume Americans can simply walk into a store and buy a gun on the spot. I want to clarify that it’s not that easy everywhere—especially here in California. I cannot just stroll into a Walmart or a firearm dealer and walk out with a gun the same day. The process is strict and follows my state’s laws closely. It requires obtaining a Firearm Safety Certificate, which involves passing a written test on gun safety. Then, there’s a mandatory background check through the state Department of Justice, along with a 10-day waiting period before I can take possession of any firearm—even after everything clears. All purchases go through a licensed dealer, with fees and paperwork involved. In the meantime, I’ve made sure I have legal non-lethal options for personal protection, like a taser and pepper spray, while I work through the steps to get a firearm.

people have told me that they literally see ICE more than the local PD. They’re everywhere. Grocery store. Gas station. Walking down the street. Driving the wrong way down the street, speeding. Waving at you, mocking you. They’re literally an occupying army. They are giving this entire city PTSD.

Fuck Ice I should not have to carry my passport and other documents when going to WORK or anywhere. I’m here in MN and it’s despicable and inhumane what they are doing here. I’ll keep going to the protests until they leave us tf alone. Fuck you too if you support ice
