Today Hon’ble MLA Beerwah Dr. Shafi Ahmad Wani Sahab chaired a comprehensive review meeting of the Power Development Department to assess the functioning and progress of ongoing works in the constituency.

Today, I visited Pariswani and Ketchmatipora in Block Kunzer under the Public outreach programme “Aapki Awaaz, Hamari Zimmedari.” I had the opportunity to meet local residents, listen to their concerns, and understand their issues closely. I assure you that all genuine grievances will be taken up on priority, and I remain fully committed to the welfare and development of our people. Later, I visited Lalpora to offer my condolences on the demise of our senior party worker Abdul Majeed Lone. I also went to Chichilora to express my sympathies on the passing of Gh. Qadir Dar. I pray for eternal peace to the departed souls and extend my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. At a massive gathering at Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre, the Hon’ble Union Minister @ChouhanShivraj handed over the PMGSY-IV (Batch II) package worth ₹3,566 crore to the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister assured that work on this package will commence shortly and expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Minister for his continued support towards strengthening rural connectivity in J&K. The package will connect 363 habitations through 330 roads, covering approximately 1,600 KMs, significantly boosting last-mile connectivity and promoting inclusive development.

Augmenting public infrastructure in Rajouri, the Hon’ble Chief Minister today dedicated to the public the road connecting NH-144A Bridge to Nowshera Town, along-with the upgradation of Sub-District Hospital, Nowshera to a 100-bedded facility. These initiatives mark a significant step towards strengthening connectivity and enhancing healthcare services in the region. Addressed the office bearers of @JKNC_ #BlockZakura in my constituency at Zakura today. Held a detailed interaction and took a comprehensive briefing on various developmental measures proposed for the current year, while also receiving valuable feedback on the works executed so far. Alhamdulillah, my colleagues expressed their gratitude for the major initiatives raised during the Assembly session, including the functioning of the Mini Maternity-cum-Child Care Hospital at Zakoora, the road widening project at Zakoora, and several other key interventions. They also conveyed their satisfaction and happiness over the steady progress of these projects and other developmental works across the constituency, appreciating the positive impact being witnessed on the ground. Today Hon’ble MLA Beerwah Dr. Shafi Ahmed Wani laid the foundation stone of a NABARD-funded infrastructure project titled “Upgradation of Inner Links of Khan Mohalla Kawoosa Khalisa NTR to Playground Kawoosa Khalisa and Kawoosa Buchipora Mazhama Bund Road under NABARD RIDF-XXXI." The project aims to significantly enhance road connectivity and improve overall infrastructure in Kawoosa Khalisa and adjoining areas, thereby facilitating better transportation and ease of movement for the local population. The foundation stone laying ceremony was attended by Executive Engineer R&B Division Beerwah and Assistant Executive Engineer R&B Sub-Division Beerwah, along with local residents and officials. Speaking on the occasion, the Hon’ble MLA Beerwah Dr Shafi Ahmad Wani emphasized the importance of robust infrastructure in accelerating development and reiterated his commitment to addressing the long-pending demands of the people. The locals appreciated the initiative and expressed optimism that the project would bring much-needed relief and boost socio-economic activities in the region.

Hon’ble MLA Lal Chowk, @ahsanpardesi today presided over a meeting at Indiranagar, where he engaged in a detailed interaction with the local residents. During the meeting, he held a threadbare discussion on the ongoing developmental works in the area and also deliberated upon proposals for future initiatives aimed at improving local infrastructure and public services. The residents of Indiranagar brought forth various demands and concerns, which the Hon’ble MLA listened to attentively. A deputation of the Pir Panjal Welfare & Development Trust, led by Mr. Vivek Verma, called on Chief Minister, highlighting key developmental priorities of the region. The delegation stressed tourism potential of Pir Panjal, need for better healthcare, education, drinking water, employment for border youth, and issues like bunkers and administrative strengthening. The Chief Minister assured that genuine concerns will be addressed on priority, reaffirming commitment to inclusive and responsive governance.
