📊 Scotland’s first Care Policy Scorecard from @SWBG is out, and care isn’t making the grade. Care isn’t a luxury. Poverty shouldn't be the price of caring. We need serious investment at the Scottish Budget & beyond. Read more👉 bit.ly/CPSforScotland #ScotlandCares

These include undervaluing of women’s unpaid care and domestic work, and the pursuit of austerity policies that harm women, non- binary people and racialized communities. She calls for approaches that take account of such harms and advance regional ideas of progress. #BeyondGDP

Across the world, there is growing consensus that GDP falls short as the primary metric for measuring social and economic progress. It excludes women's unpaid care and domestic work and doesn't account for inequality or the environmental impacts of economic activities. #BeyondGDP

This was the room today at #FfD4 when @JennyChapman made her big speech. Ouch... Maybe if the UK supported the global South in the negotiations, rather than block them at every turn and then claim they didn't, there'd be more interest in what the minister had to say today 🤷‍♂️

Today at #WEF25, I challenged the belief that private money shld be involved in healthcare. Private money will never guarantee the right to health for all. The people we @UNAIDS work for will always need public healthcare that is free at the point of use. x.com/Winnie_Byanyim…

Today at #WEF25, I challenged the notion that private money should be involved in healthcare. Private money will never guarantee the right to health for everybody - you will always have those who are not served. The people I work for will never have the money to pay; they will always need a public health system that is free at the point of use. I shared @Bloomberg's shocking report of patients being denied care or held like prisoners in hospitals because they cannot pay. I urge you to read it: bloomberg.com/news/features/…
