DUMMIES GUIDE TO BEING QUANTUM SAFE. In the past it was about protecting your PRIVATE KEY (your seed phrase). In the age of big scary quantum computers (BSQC) that are coming, you need to protect your PUBLIC KEY also. Basically a BSQC can figure out your private key from a public key. The present day taproot addresses (the latest format) are NOT safe, these are addresses starting with "bc1p" and they embed the public key into the address, not good. Prior formats hide the public key behind a hash, so a BSQC can't easily crack it. Do this: 1) create a new segwit wallet. It will start with "bc1q" (NOT "bc1p"), you can use older formats too like ones starting with "1" and "3" 2) send all your BTC into this new address 3) you can continue to stack sats into this new address 4) NEVER send BTC out of it, once you do you're BSQC hackable because your public key is revealed 5) wait for Bitcoin to upgrade to a quantum safe protocol, this may take 7 years, who knows 6) send your BTC into the new quantum safe address when the network is NOT congested, once you send, you reveal the private key for a short time. It's unlikely a BSQC will steal your coins in that short window

I used to think future Bitcoin bear markets would have a lower drawdowns. But if we don't solve on Quantum next year, we probably get the biggest bear market ever.

Quantum up another 20% today. Is Martin OK?

I’m at the barbershop listening to normies break down last week’s football game like Wall Street analysts. They know every stat, every player’s contract, every trade rumor. But ask them about inflation, interest rates, or where their money’s bleeding out, and it’s blank stares. Experts on someone else’s finances, clueless about their own. That’s the system’s greatest trick: distract you with games while it robs you blind. I stack Bitcoin because I refuse to play stupid.

We are at the end of @RayDalio’s long term debt cycle. Equities are bid to extreme valuations. Real estate is bid to extreme valuations. Fixed income remains at extreme valuations. The endgame of the long term debt cycle is fiat debasement. The only escape valve is hard money. Gold was the hardest money of the past. Bitcoin is the hardest money of today. As the cycle continues to unwind, bitcoin may absolutely demolish all asset classes.

Real timeline for Quantum Computing breaking Bitcoin: 3-10 years away. Some sources: 1) As few as 2500 logical Qubits needed to break SHA-256 algorithm in Bitcoin: arxiv.org/abs/1706.06752 Current QC companies forecasting this within 4 years. 2) Timeline estimates are based on probability curves. Grok gives wildly wrong estimates for the Quantum Computing threat on Bitcoin, likely informed by the weighted amount of bs across the internet from people who haven't spent any time to actually investigate this matter. It's 3-10 years away maximum.

Even if the bitcoin treasury company industry gets “crowded”, and all companies trade back to 1x mNAV, those using intelligent leverage would still outperform bitcoin itself—assuming bitcoin outperforms fixed income over the long run. This is incredibly powerful.
