@aniobrien Not mad about this at all. The more power that Act and NZ First have, come negotiation time, the better.

Interesting choice of framing by NZ Herald when the poll shows: Labour 🔻-1 National 👆+1.4 NZ First 👆+3.9 Act 👆+1.5 Greens 🔻-2.7 TPM 🔻-0.6 That would see centre-right governing with 65 seats & centre-left with 55 seats.

@matt_horncastle Needs to be a time limit enacted - 3 years say. After that all references to the treaty in all NZ laws get removed and the piece of paper gets put on display in Te Papa

We need to end Maori settlements Even if we assume that wrongs were committed against Māori in the nineteenth century, it does not follow that modern taxpayers should be paying settlements today. Punishing people for actions that occurred 150 years ago is morally wrong. Justice means holding individuals responsible for what they themselves have done. It does not mean holding their children, grandchildren, or completely unrelated citizens responsible for the actions of people long dead. The taxpayers of New Zealand today did not confiscate land, did not write the laws of colonial governments, and did not make the decisions that are now being debated. Yet they are the ones expected to fund ongoing Treaty settlements and reparations. That contradicts a basic moral principle of Western justice: guilt and punishment must be personal, not hereditary. I am not arguing here about the history itself. For the sake of discussion, we can assume that historical wrongs occurred. The point is simple. Justice cannot mean transferring responsibility across generations and charging innocent people today for events they had no role in. At some point, a country must stop treating history as an open financial liability and instead move forward as a nation of equal citizens under the law.

@Infideliter2022 The longer I spend on this planet the more I believe that anyone voting for the left side of politics is either evil or stupid. Or on a continuum between those 2 options.

After the financial vandalism Ardern & Hipkins left us with, how is it possible that 34% would still vote for them? WTF is wrong with people? This election is generationally important. We just can't gamble the future of our kids and grandkids on giving Labour another chance.

The New Zealand Greens political party represent everything that is evil in the world. Everything that destroys a country and leads to mass human suffering. A vote for labour is a vote for the greens. A vote for the greens is the destruction of all things good.

Today Chloe Swarbrick addressed the Bondi attack, and it was the most insincere, gaslighting garbage you will ever see. Just remember it was Swarbrick who just days after the October 7th slaughter, publicly condemned the Auckland War museum for lighting up in the colours of the Israel flag “despicable” shrieked Swarbrick, while she whipped the crowd into a frenzy with “from the river to the sea!” Her activist mates cut the power to the lights soon after. She demanded a meeting and an explanation and apology from the Museum, which she later received. Today Chloe blabbed on in the house about tolerance and understanding, and the right for people to practice their faith. Earlier this year her and Riccardo Menendez March attended a dinner during Passover with a watermelon yamaka and a Hamas scarf which was posted on social media for outrage. Chloe is the epitome of the typical hypocritical garbage the hard left are renowned for. She is one confused little idiot, as are the idiots who support that death cult party. You need to watch the edit below of her performance today vs her past pantomimes. It puts her regular bleats into context and remind you how much of a grub she truly is.
Ani O'Brien@aniobrien

Chloe Swarbrick’s condemnation of Auckland Museum for lighting up with Israeli flag colours after Hamas raped, kidnapped, & slaughtered 1500 Israelis is shameful. It is worse that she then suggests that she will keep the museum in check because it is in her electorate.

Then speak up when your MPs and coalition MPs walk alongside people chanting to globalise this violence. Or chanting it themselves. They’ve been doing it for years. Enough is enough. Call it out @chrishipkins
