I think it's also interesting to relate the song to The marionette theatre. I thought of the boy as an actual coin operated doll, incapable of emotion. I think that's the difference between this and Medusa or Clinton. Everyone involved had feelings and intentions, unlike the boy.

#f2irpi2b A2: I think the best connection I can make between the song and the text would be between the relationships of the protagonists of each. This is the classic controller/controlled dynamic. Controller loses control, becomes angry, controlled is punished somehow.

@ymhrip @cccjayrpi Just a thought: Dr. James, if you read this, it might be interesting to look at the plot of this game in class if we have some extra time. I see lots of inspiration from Pygmalion, My Fair Lady, and The Stepford Wives. I think it answers, "what if robots were alive?" pretty well.

@ymhrip @cccjayrpi Interesting point. There's a videogame called Detroit: Become Human that kind of focuses on this. Mistreatment of a minority and the bizarre consequences. It kind of leads back to the question of can a robot feel emotion? Pain?
