If a woman has to bring up the same issue three times, the fourth time isn’t ‘nagging’. The fourth time is her knowing that you only respond to escalation, not to information. If you’re waiting until she’s frustrated to take her seriously, she knows that getting frustrated with you is the only solution, and she resents you for it. ‘Nagging’ is just the build up of all those moments where you had a chance to lead and chose to let her down instead.

Emotional leadership is staying present when you’re embarrassed, corrected, or disappointed, and not making her pay for what your ego can’t hold. A good man apologizes. A great man changes the pattern that needed the apology. She doesn’t just feel safe from your words, she feels safe from your follow-through. If she can’t trust your follow-through, she won’t relax, and if she can’t relax, she can’t desire you. That’s the part men keep skipping.

The idea of shared responsibility between men and woman IS egalatarianism and you have yet to respond to that statement but rather you proceed to pivot and deflect like your life depends on it. A lot of men are not broken, they are just under trained in the part of life that matters most. Nobody taught you how to handle conflict without shutting down, how to make a woman feel safe without losing yourself, how to stay when it gets uncomfortable instead of fixing it with silence or sex. I am not here to give you a script to manipulate women. I can only show you what emotional leadership actually looks like so you can stop feeling lost and start feeling proud of the way you love.
