No, it's vice versa Japan is inspired from mithila. People don't know it but This pagoda style architecture originated in Ancient Indian subcontinent. Specifically through bhuddist stupas in Bihar but Nepal gave it's own distinct form.

Bihar & UP have higher steppe than West Bengal & significantly higher than United Bengal. Pastoralists went into bengal through UP & Bihar, and it became more diluted there
