I don’t think the “public perception” angle is accurate because Drake was being declared as the winner early as we were waiting for Kendrick to respond.
Willingness to stay aggressive is fine, but it doesn’t also necessarily mean that you’re stacking wins. By the end of the beef, Drake resorted to playing defense on the heart part 6, and there was nothing in that track that warranted any kind of response.
If Family Matters was the last of it, Drake wins. But Kendrick showing that he foresaw where Drake was going to go with the beef and having a response ready in the same hour Drake pulled out his best stuff kind of turned everything on its head
