Asked President Trump this afternoon if he’s concerned about a domestic terrorist attack backed by Iran. He said “no.”

A very vocal part of the Rutgers fan base is not going to like this answer. I get that. But this is one coach essentially saying, "we're spending four times on our roster than the other guy, and it shows."
The Field of 68@TheFieldOf68

Mick Cronin after UCLA's win over Rutgers: "There's haves and have-nots in the money world. Coach Pikiell is really a great coach. It's just a shame we don't have a salary cap and everyone was playing even. But this is baseball, not the NFL. This is MLB." (🎥: @UCLAOn3)

There's a silent majority that doesn't care for partisan revenge or ideological fervor - they want competence: a decent economy, safer streets, quaity schools, less traffic, and the snow plowed. But those "boring" candidates usually can't win a partisan primary.
Robert Pondiscio@rpondiscio

Just arrived in NYC where, nearly a week after the storm, the warmth of collectivism has proven unable to melt snow. Or collect trash

The Nation's Capital -- the home of the White House and the Capitol -- cannot figure out how to plow its streets and get kids back to school/parents back to work.
Joe Bishop-Henchman 🗽💸⚖️🚆@jbhenchman

Good morning from DC Union Station, where Massachusetts Avenue is plowed one lane wide each way. Eastbound is currently blocked by a bus stuck at North Capitol Street where Metro employees are trying to dig it out.

America is grateful for every nation that answered the call after we were attacked on 9/11 and served with our forces on the frontlines in Afghanistan. Their sacrifices should never be forgotten. Per @RichEdsonDC Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry, also President Donald Trump’s special envoy to Greenland, was disinvited from a traditional dog sled race in Greenland. The Greenland Dog Sledding Association (KNQK) objected to the invitation and now says the unnamed tourism company that issued the invite to Landry has pulled its invitation.

Keep the 90’s Yankees out of your mouth when you’re talking about the Dodgers. There is absolutely zero comparison to make. The Yankees traded 16 Top 100 prospects away during that time and were built around a core of five homegrown megastars. Literally every one of them should be in the hall. Yankees homegrown talent: Derek Jeter Jorge Posada Mariano Rivera Andy Pettitte Bernie Williams Trade acquisitions: Jim Abbott, David Cone, Tino Martinez, Jeff Nelson, Cecil Fielder, David Weathers, Jim Leyritz, Graeme Lloyd, Hideki Irabu, Chuck Knoblauch, Ed Yarnell, Mark Johnson, David Justice, Denny Neagle. Free agent signings: Kenny Rogers, Mariano Duncan, Dwight Gooden (had been out for a year and a half with a drug suspension was a big gamble), Darryl Strawberry (also following a suspension, also a gamble), Wade Boggs, David Wells, Orlando Hernandez Dodgers homegrown talent: Will Smith Andy Pages Dodgers free agent signings: Literally everyone else

@alexbward Perhaps the real communications challenge was switching between domestic and international talking points.

What the fuck are you talking about, bro? I said people don’t need to spend their time arguing over the 12,000 number. All they need to know is that the regime has admitted to killing thousands. If that’s not enough for people to care — then they just hate Iranians. Don’t ever fucking take this pseudo-academic, condescending tone with me again, you prick.

appreciate your perspective. my view: i think it’s essential to be honest with people and not hyperbolic. focus on serious threats where there’s danger (to the independence of the fed, or suspending defense/intel support to ukraine) and pushing back on headlines where there isn’t. especially because the latter diminishes credibility of those offering criticism.

@RichEdsonDC Great memories. I was there the week before against the Eagles when Sehorn had the crazy interception and Ron Dixon ran back the opening kick. The old stadium was so much better.

Iran: “Eyewitnesses say government forces have begun opening fire, apparently with automatic weapons and at times seemingly indiscriminately, on unarmed protesters. Hospital workers say protesters had been coming in with pellet injuries but now arrive with gunshot wounds …”
