This has become a regular nuisance in the area. Sometimes, it begins at 1am in the night and goes in until the early hours of the mornings and sometimes for 24 hours at a stretch. It is anxiety inducing, interrupts work from home and sounds hateful to say the least.

If this was pre bjp india, all citizens would have united against the govt for air pollution, security lapse, e20 looting, VOTE CHORI, etc But this is post bjp india where bjp gives ppl a strawman to hate on and distract, and ppl fall for it

But the worst was yet to come. Rohit and I often watched Malayalam thrillers with subtitles. One night, as a song played in Rekhachithram, Deepti began to sing. Not babbling. Not mimicking sounds. She sang every word, clear as a bell, in Malayalam. We froze. Neither of us speaks the language. We are Punjabi. Except his ex-wife. The one who died during childbirth
