But the content is the real giveaway. They’re pushing the idea that premature babies who aren’t producing insulin somehow end up with "impossible" insulin to C‑peptide ratios. That’s not controversial, cutting‑edge, or misunderstood - it’s just plain wrong. Basic physiology: The body makes insulin and C‑peptide together, in a 1:1 ratio. If the pancreas isn’t making insulin, there is zero C‑peptide. High insulin with low/zero C‑peptide is the classic signature of injected insulin. There is no mechanism - none - where a baby who isn’t producing insulin magically produces C‑peptide anyway, or where antibodies "store" insulin in a way that fakes exogenous insulin patterns.
