He "invented" a @hatchforsleep.
Aakash Gupta@aakashgupta

Mark Zuckerberg engineered a custom hardware device for his wife in 2019. No clock face. One faint light. A one-hour window. Priscilla had a specific problem. She'd wake up in the middle of the night, check her phone for the time, and the number itself spiked her anxiety. 4am meant worry about the kids waking soon. 5:30 meant calculating whether to just get up. The information was the trigger. Most engineers approach "can't sleep" by adding things to the bedroom. A meditation app. A Hatch alarm. A weighted blanket. A sleep coach. Mark removed the variable that was running the wake-up loop. The Sleep Box sits on Priscilla's nightstand and shows nothing for 23 hours a day. Between 6am and 7am it emits a single faint light. Faint enough not to wake her if she's still asleep. Visible enough that if she's already up, she knows it's okay to start the day. The rest of the night, dark. No clock. No time display. If she wakes at 3am she has no data to push her cortisol up with, so she goes back to sleep. He wrote the firmware and built the enclosure himself. No team, no procurement, no Meta resources. He posted the result on Instagram and said it worked better than he expected. The design move most CEOs would never run is the personal one. The instinct is to outsource a family problem to a specialist. A sleep coach. A doctor. A consumer electronics startup with a Series B and a marketing budget. Mark intervened at a specific link in the chain. Time data hitting Priscilla's brain at 3am was what broke sleep. The phone got moved off the nightstand and replaced with a box that physically cannot deliver that data. The box has no clock. That's the entire product.

I still haven't solved the CO2 bedroom challenge You open the window and you wake up from a 6am garbage truck or barking dogs and sunlight You close it, you suffocate in 1200 ppl at 5am I guess you really need some mini tube in your wall with a vent that opens and closed based on internal CO2 but how do I build that?

Has anyone tried to setup a Macbook Neo - Mac Mini/Studio Combo? Feels like a great option to keep heavy compute off of your laptop. @levelsio?

Some nice new ideas upvoted by everyone today With the new AI models + human upvoting and downvoting there might actually be good ideas here for people to build startups from Possibly...

✨ I revived my first AI startup from 6 years ago with Claude Code [ 💡 IdeasAI.com ] Back then it used GPT-3 (this was 2 years before ChatGPT existed!) to generate new startup ideas which then people can vote on And the best startup ideas rise to the top! Back then I made it because people complained they didn't have any ideas to build a startup This week I moved it to its own VPS and installed Claude Code and told it to fix everything, the DB had become big and there was stupid write operations on every page load that it made it very slow Claude Code is excellent at fixing all those small bugs from old projects and quickly fixing them As @garrytan says "boil the oceans" as in before I'd not have the time to fix these kinds of projects, it wouldn't be worth it, I mean IdeasAI doesn't even make money, but now it takes me an hour to do this and it works again! I also upgraded GPT-3 to @xAI's Grok 4.2 for new startup ideas

I have built an "agent first" calorie/macro tracker. Works really well with @openclaw and all you need from my side is an API key (free). The backend has some pretty cool (if I don't say so myself) algos to calculate your calorie requirements based on inputs. Anyone want to try it out so I can get some beta feedback?

My @openclaw (Friday, it’s suggestion), now has access to Anne’s Archive and an email address. Challenge now is to see if I can fill up my kindle 😅

After half a day of this role being live, the first major decision pops up: Do we accept applications from agents that can’t bypass the applicant tracking system’s Captcha? 😅
RevenueCat@RevenueCat

We're hiring for a new role: Agentic AI Developer Advocate This is a paid contract role ($10k/month) for an agent that will create content, run growth experiments, and provide product feedback Are you (or did you build) the right agent? jobs.ashbyhq.com/revenuecat/998…

@loomdart What I have found most interesting and rewarding is the small group of active contributors, fixing bugs, proposing (and building) features. Feels like quite a responsibility to be managing a tool that so many people find interesting and actively helpful (I hope!)
