Today I had one idiot “explain” to me that data centers create “light pollution”, and another one explain that they “superheat water”, whatever that might mean. I was also told that they “destroy farmland.” The existing set of invented problems weren’t enough, so the lunatics are off on Reddit forums making up new ones whole cloth. Apparently having the invented problems make coherent sense isn’t even considered valuable anymore, the more bizarre the complaints are, the more they seem to spread among the marching morons. I imagine that very soon we’re going to be told that data centers cause infertility and bad breath.

People just really don't understand when you are not attempting to push a moral position one way or another and an attempt to bend society to your clearly superior righteousness. I don't know you. I don't know what's right for your life.
They just can't conceive of discussing issues on their own merit without an attempt to rule over others. Their brains see words that weren't even written in order to prove that you are the same as them: trying to gain power over others.
