Two years ago, my budget for my weekly Aldi shop was £60. Some weeks, my shopping only cost around £55.
Now, buying basically the same things, my weekly budget has had to increase to £75 and, most weeks, I go over budget by a couple of pounds.
In just the last two weeks, a punnet of button mushrooms has gone from 89p to 99p. Percentage wise, that's one hell of a big increase.
But they try to tell us food inflation has stabilised. These people who've never done a weekly food shop in their lives. 🙄
