Our Nation is steadfastly moving towards breaking the shackles of malnutrition. Today, India is launching the first ever National Protocol for Management of Malnutrition in Children. In line with the POSHAN Abhiyan launched by PM @narendramodi Ji, this protocol will be vital in identifying severity of malnutrition among Anganwadi going children at an early stage and chart out a functional institutionalised course of treatment in time bound manner. The protocol which provisions for counselling of parents & follow up care also ascertains accountability right from the level of Anganwadi workers & other frontline functionaries to the District Magistrate. It is the wholesome multi-pronged approach that will help in safeguarding health & future of our children thereby building a #SuPoshitBharat.
