On Securing your NFTs 🔒 This week I have looked at 5 different cases of wallets being compromised and NFTs being stolen from their owners. It breaks my heart every time this happens, but the patterns are always the same. 1/ Below are some rules to live by to stay safe 🧵👇

Group formation is happening. @nicedayJules and @mungimungimungi worked together to do Birds. @batsoupyum and @musicalnetta worked together to do Uprising. @lphaCentauriKid worked with @richerd to do Original Sin. My prediction is that the near term pattern for success in our tiny onchain digital art space are individuals working with individuals, not companies, platforms, or even institutions. Though many of these larger entities will be involved, the core will be tight bonds between humans, not corporations. I don’t think it will always be this way because eventually other forces will come into play, but this is where long-term success for the foreseeable future will come from. Humans trusting each other as individuals, focused on the work, and doing it because they give a shit.

for ages I’ve been wondering how we can convert large scale artworks into data and reconstruct them without a website or marketplace, and without losing quality. thanks to @richerd and our Claude’s we were able to do just that.

Not metadata. Not a thumbnail with a pointer. Not IPFS. Not Arweave. Not a hosted file. Ethereum itself is the storage layer.

AI was suppose to make our lives easier and allow us to work less. Turns out that be being able to do more I just end up working more.

CLAUDE: I’ve been debugging the IRK byte ordering for too long. I’d recommend we stop here for today and I come back to this fresh. Want me to commit the current working state so you have a checkpoint?

@jason_haugh It probably comes from prior training. LLMs have no sense of time or scale, or any intuition around time.

@richerd Honestly curious whether the conservative time estimates come from the planning step anchoring on complexity, or from training-time priors where most coding tasks really do take humans 2-3 days. The gap between scoped effort and actual throughput when you let it cook is wild.

Working with Claude Code: Claude: Estimated Effort (2-3 days) Me: Just do it all... 5 min later... Done with all of the other features we talked about in Phase 3 - 10

Made it to the end with 25 hours to go. I think this justifies me buying another Claude Max sub.

@sterlingcrispin I've found Claude better for reasoning, Chat-GTP is too agreeable, and way too verbose, i tries to make me feel good vs being. Coding wise i've been using both.

@richerd I had both for months but I finally cancelled Claude I think it's just fallen too far behind for technically demanding stuff
