$IonQ I remember when the market was very uneasy about the Q sector’s volatility a few years ago and IonQ went under $3.50 a share. I was very confident and purchased several large blocks in assorted accounts that I/we still hold today. Far forward to right now, and that same feeling has occurred, except my sense of security in investing large monies into the company are more than the 12x trading comparison from back then to now. I do believe Skywater will close very soon. I do believe the conglomerate IonQ will receive substantial government monies from assorted mechanisms. I believe 256 will role out by the end of October or early November. I believe a variety of US and allied governments agencies are very focused on IonQ and we will hear a beehive of announcements. I believe the diverse ecosystem that the company operates in will produce quickly many meaningful results. And with this, I believe in the strongest sense that the company is perhaps the most undervalued tech company on the public exchanges. So … we add, and not like sheep.

@Rick101284 @IONQinvestor The beauty of the SBIR Contract is it becomes an unprotestable 10 year single award contract vehicle you can drive a truck through. Anything related to quantum sensing, to incide directly related technologies, can be awarded directly.

There is some excellent, well informed commentary on the website you reference Rick - Thank you. Here is a quote from an earlier post that compares qubit modalities; "I consider trapped ions the modality most likely to demonstrate the first complete, small-scale fault-tolerant quantum computation that produces a verifiably correct answer to a problem requiring logical depth beyond 10⁴ operations. Quantinuum’s team has demonstrated every component of the fault-tolerant stack individually, and combining them is a matter of engineering execution rather than scientific discovery. " He doesn't delve into the IonQ vs Quantinuum debate, but we know that space well : ) #what-would-a-trapped-ion-crqc-actually-require" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">postquantum.com/post-quantum/c…

$IONQ Rumors circulating that quantum companies have gone dark: "In recent weeks, the same rumor has reached me from unconnected directions: that at least a couple of the companies at the center of quantum cryptanalysis are sitting on results they have chosen not to publish." Note US government already has mechanism to require this: "Quantum technology has sat under US export controls since the Bureau of Industry and Security’s (BIS) September 2024 interim final rule, which applies deemed-export licensing to the disclosure of controlled quantum technology and information to nationals of certain countries, with a presumption of denial." Implications for market: "Every public Q-Day model, mine included, carries a hidden assumption that the published frontier approximates the actual frontier. That assumption held tolerably well for a decade. It is now degrading, and it degrades in only one direction: actual capability can only meet or exceed what is published, never trail it." postquantum.com/post-quantum/c…

@netcreat Phase B provided funding for up to 12 months which would align with November. DARPA also noted advancements could be staggered amongst companies. I think IonQ knows they are advancing, but cant announce until DARPA is ready.

@Gukaso Based on this post, and Rick Mullers comments in April I suspect they know are advancing. Possible DARPA may be preventing announcement due to timelines of others who are advancing.

NSF just launched Project Triad: the first system uniting quantum sensing, networking, and computing for real-world use in defense, healthcare, energy & safety. This is exactly the triad IonQ Federal’s Rick Muller laid out months ago — backed by DARPA HARQ + QBI, plus Vector Atomic, Capella & Skyloom acquisitions. Even the diagrams match: networked satellites, sensors & quantum computers tied by quantum links. NSF didn’t name a company. But they just nationalized and scaled $IONQ’s architecture. Hooyah!🚀 $IONQ
TechInnovation@TechInnovationz

$IONQ The U.S. National Science Foundation just launched Project Triad: "the first-ever system where quantum sensing, networking and computing work together in concert," built to turn quantum into real-world applications across safety, healthcare, energy and defense. Now look at the elements. Sensing, computing, networking, the exact three domains NSF wants to unite. IonQ Federal's Rick Muller laid out all three at World Quantum Day, months earlier: Sensing: PNT clocks roughly 1000× more accurate than GPS (Vector Atomic), plus space (Capella) and optical comms (Skyloom). Networking: a contract in DARPA's Heterogeneous Architectures for Quantum (HARQ) program, plus QKD and entanglement distribution. Computing: nearing fault-tolerant operation in DARPA's Quantum Benchmarking Initiative (QBI), verified by DARPA. So it's not one program. IonQ is stacking two DARPA programs (HARQ and QBI) on top of the Vector Atomic, Capella and Skyloom acquisitions. His words: "IonQ can provide an engine to drive federal quantum integration that no other companies can." Now put the two diagrams side by side. NSF's illustration of an "integrated quantum system" and IonQ's timing architecture are the same picture: networked satellites, ground stations, sensors and a quantum computer, tied together by quantum links. NSF hasn't named a company. But it's building a national program around the architecture IonQ already has, down to the diagram. $IONQ New interview with Alessio Butti, the undersecretary of State to the Presidency. On where Italy stands with quantum computing: "Through its advanced computing strategy, the government has succeeded in attracting investment from leading US quantum computing companies such as DWAVE and IonQ, positioning Italy as a potential hub for next generation computing technologies. At the moment. They have identified Lombardy as the location, but will be open to pursuing other opportunities as well. That alliance has enabled us to establish an important, interesting and i believe very productive relationship with the Ministry of Defense. We are also developing Q-ARKA. It is a project that brings together AI, advanced computing, HPC, and quantum. It is designed for both defense and civilian purposes" linkedin.com/posts/fortune-…

$IONQ Updated list of near term Government Quantum opportunities: 1. DARPA QBI - This is governments effort to validate Quantum Computing roadmaps. ➡️At World Quantum Day in April, Rick Muller advised IonQ expects to make a Phase C announcement in the near term. He believes this will separate IonQ from the pack. ($300M award) 2. DARPA HARQ - Focused on Heterogeneous Architectures and connecting different modalities. ➡️IonQ was only vendor to receive a undisclosed hardware award (likely $2M) to provide photonic interconnects capable of connecting multiple modalities. DARPA expects this to turn into large scale project. 3. National Science Foundation: XLABS - $1.5B initiative focused on quantum sensing and photonic interconnects. (Now Part of Project Triad) PROJECT Triad: New effort focused on building an Integrated Quantum System with quantum computing, networking, and sensing. ➡️ IONQ only company with quantum computing, networking, and sensing platform, and has the space capabilities (satelites and optical communication) needed to deliver this. 4. Defense Innovation Unit Project Farseer: initiative focused on Quantum Sensing. $200M to be awarded over next year. ➡️ IonQs Vector Atomics business has leading PNT sensors validated by NIST. 5. NSA / LPS (UMD) /DEVCOM QuantumEagle Initiative: Broad Project focused on 1) industry engagement, 2) commercial roadmaps, 3) supply chain, 4) algorithms, and 5) foundational Research. ➡️ LPS close connection (and proximity) to UMD may give IonQ advantage here. 6. DOE Quantum Genesis: Q Competition designed to Deploy fault tolerant computer in DOE Lab by 2028. Build National Quantum Supercomputing User Facility with multiple modalities ➡️ I believe IonQ and QuEra are the only companies whos public roadmaps currently align with a 2028 deployment date for fault tolerant QC.

$IonQ "The Department of War will continue prioritizing investments that deliver tangible quantum solutions"
Under Secretary of War Emil Michael@USWREMichael

Honored to join my colleagues from Commerce, Energy, NSF and OSTP today at the White House Summit on American Quantum Innovation.   This administration is demonstrating decisive action to ensure the United States maintains a permanent advantage over any global adversary in quantum technologies.   I outlined how the @DeptofWar is implementing President Trump’s Executive Order on Ushering in the Next Frontier of Quantum Innovation. The mandate @POTUS has laid out is abundantly clear: our warfighters must maintain absolute information dominance across all domains of warfare. The Department of War will continue prioritizing investments that deliver tangible quantum solutions to the Joint Force by partnering directly with industry and academia through our Quantum and Battlefield Information Dominance (Q-BID) Critical Technology Area.
