Today, we are taking a moment of silence as a way to honour children victimized by the residential school system. Skills Ontario hopes this Canada Day represents a turning point, honouring all Indigenous peoples have been through, while looking to a better future for us all.

It was a challenging year for all of us in education, but we persevered. The summer will provide us the time necessary to recharge, refresh, and regroup for whatever September brings. For now, let’s focus on ourselves, our families, and our friends - they’ve been waiting for us.
