Nearly 260,000 employees, including airport security workers, have not been paid for over a month. This DHS shutdown is completely unacceptable—it’s worsening airport wait times and putting disaster response efforts and other important security functions at risk. Using public servants in critical roles as political pawns is not how we should operate as a Congress. It’s high time we fund DHS.
