There’s no perfect system with taxes unfortunately but there’s something not right with being able to take someone’s property (after they were hit on sales tax on the initial purpose) when they spent almost their whole lives paying it off. Holding government more accountable on tax use 100% should be the norm but that’s a different conversation

@Rick__K7 @NancyMace It'd need to be quite a lot higher. Most state+city tax sit between 7-8%, and that jumps up to at least 12-15% to offset the lost income. But if people are okay with that, then sure. However that benefits the rich the most. They don't eat 2x the food or use 2x the gas as others.
