@educator4ever36 the plumber gets fired if the plumbing doesn't work. the electrician gets fired if the power doesn't work. the accountant gets fired if the books aren't closed. the sales rep gets fired if they don't make their number. teachers' raises should be tied to performance in some way.

The doctor gets paid even if the patient dies. The lawyer gets paid even if she loses the case. The Police Chief gets paid even if the murder rate increases. Shall I go on? What an ignorant post.

This is the most insulting statement from teachers, ever. They really must think the public is stupid. We understand completely that teachers are on extended leave during the summer and therefore not earning $$. We understand that if they are pulling a paycheck, the $$ for those checks were held in escrow from each of their checks during the year. We got that! But no employee for any company gets paid for time off unless they burn earned PTO. So, teachers are no more special in this than anyone. What we also don't recieve without burning PTO are 2 weeks at Chrismas, Fall/Spring Breaks, and any other day off during the year that a state/school board chooses. So with all that said, the starting hourly salary for a teacher in @CharMeckSchools, North Carolina is currently $28.46/hr. #nced #ncpol

We voted through the night to pass funding for ICE and border patrol. Democrats put forth unnecessary votes to try to get it to fail, and even voted down two different votes on the SAVE America Act. After nearly 20 hours of voting, @SenateGOP got it done.

@mt_stjohn Then you run. The time to complain about this is during the primary and before. Believe me, I'll sleep good at night voting for @KenPaxtonTX knowing that vote will protect me and my family from Talarico.

This election would be a no-brainer if Republicans hadn't nominated a miserable human being. They're going to have to spend a ton of money defending Ken Paxton being a POS well as promoting Talarico's shortcomings.

@educator4ever36 Educators/schools never have been able to pick up the slack for bad parents. The difference is now, schools allow it to go "unpunished" by passing the kids along. Fail them, expel them for bad grades, bad behavior. Don't destroy the good kids/parents while placating the bad.

When are we going to accept that educators/schools CANNOT pick up the slack for everything parents won’t do? We can educate. We have shown we are horrible at parenting so now nothing is getting done.
