The State of the Union 2026 President Trump will deliver his State of the Union on Tuesday. Congress, at least those who bother to show up, will clap wildly or sit sullenly depending on which side of the aisle they sit on. The next day they will go about not doing their jobs, which is about the only bipartisan thing they do. Here’s how I view those elected to run things and the Republic they are supposed to serve. America today is like a car careening down a windy road driven by two political parties who unfortunately don’t know how to drive. They sit in the front seat, trying to wrest the steering wheel from each other-Republicans to the right and Democrats to the left-eventually running the car into the ditch. They then turn to us-the American people, having been tossed around in the back seat-and tell us to get out and get the car out of the ditch. And then, to add insult to injury, they tell us that we will have to pay for all the damage they caused! Then after we get the car out of the ditch and have our wallets sufficiently emptied paying for the damage, they get back in the car and do the same things all over again! Cowboy Wisdom for Saturday. “Your horse is your partner, friend and sometimes therapist. You can tell him anything without fear of being judged. He’ll take you places you’ve never been. All he asks in return is to be cared for and loved.” And when he’s locked in on a cow or a flag in training, stay the hell out of his way and let him do his job! Have a super Saturday folks!!

Cowboy Wisdom for Friday. “When somebody does you a favor remember it. When you do a favor, forget it.” Favors ain’t commodities to be traded. It’s just something you do when someone needs one. Have a fantastic Friday everyone!

MSNBC is struggling after the JD Vance vs. Tim Walz debate. Nicole Wallace: Shame on JD Vance for ‘mansplaining’ to the moderators. Rachel Maddow: Tim Walz won the debate and he only had one bad moment. Joe Scarborough: Tim Walz would be a great neighbor. Jen Psaki: Tim Walz is one of the best communicators in the entire Democratic party.

Viewers at home don't realize that people in the #GOPConvention hall rarely listen to the speeches. But attendees were completely mesmerized by the *real Americans* speaking onstage. The tragedy: Most of those speeches were ignored by networks covering the event.

Last night, voters saw a Republican Party that they (and I) have never seen before.  A stage filled with hardworking taxpayers, African-Americans, working women, union members, and delegates dancing in the aisles.  Speeches bashing Corporate America and the status quo.  We witnessed the realignment of American politics, Trump-style. #GOPConvention

Same of y’all are goofy with the Lanning slander. Second year as a HC at any level. 21-5 overall. Team vastly improved from year 1 to 2. Roster building continues to be a home run. Yes he needs to beat Washington. Duh.

@DSH_Newton Kirby Smart had his nemesis in Nick Saban. He learned and got better. Dan will learn and get better. I like the new Oregon culture that has some defense (which will get better next year) and attitude. I graduated in '75 and remember the dark days.

I love Dan Lanning as Oregon's coach and I hope he stays for many years. He has to grow, however, as a strategist and in-game coach, be more adaptable in how he plans for an opponent. He understands that coaching is more than slogans and speechifying. Still, 21 wins in 2 years.
