How much should a meta deck reasonably cost? (In tcgs in general)

@jfwong Yes this should've been the equivalent of og wrath, so 8 energy and 2 power. It's too expensive, especially when purple can just counter it for 2 energy

The cost of a board wipe in Magic was standardized early on at 4 mana with Wrath of God. Riftbound’s cost feels quite a bit steeper at 9 energy and 3 recycled runes / power. Thoughts from anyone who plays both?

Ok, but how is this gonna resolve when purple has 2 counterspells now?

yes. they attack into your battlefield to swing over a unit u have there. u save your unit with this by bouncing it. you also bounce a unit in their base so they cant double conquer. even better with fizz or tree. card is nuts. also against damage spells if anyone is gonna play those next format (probably not)

@RiftboundMeta Its better tempo to spend a card to remove their unit and your own? I dont see it...

Played some Diana today. This deck is looking pretty strong. The signature spell is absolutely nuts. There's some ridiculous plays you can pull off with it. The blue chosen champ generates so much card advantage. Very much looking forward to seeing how this deck performs piltoverarchive.com/decks/view/9ef…

just play it and see. it's such a massive tempo swing cuz it can bounce in base. u can also bounce fizz and trigger dreaming tree. bouncing fizz is crazy. it has extra utility that rebuke doesnt have. rebuke is better endgame, but star crossed is better on every other turn, and also very strong endgame

@RiftboundMeta I just dont see it. Rebuke feels so much better.

@SeviroTCG seals and ezreals wont. plus u dont have enough early game here with only ravenbloom. blue diana is 100% the better chosen champ as well

@td_quentin Vex is a great development unit and synerizes well with the deck. Hwei u would need to change the deck quite a bit i think

@RiftboundMeta What do you think of Hwei instead of Vex in this list ? Or what other arrangements would be necessary to play Hwei ?

@RiftboundMeta We only have 3 sets released, and purple was BARELY tier 1 in one of them. Calm down.

@dagpty19 i mean compare this to bf sword. it's just way better than that, and that card sees play

@RiftboundMeta it's also conditional draw power, and the condition is not super hard but not easy either.

This card is really cool and really good

@dagpty19 3 for 3 is decent and the draw power is nice
