@PlasticsFella I would try avoiding Kwires if at all possible. I have seen some horrendous infected complications in this cohort. PDS sutures have worked well for me in the past. Clearly stability is required but handle with care😬

@PlasticsFella Patients alway remember LA injection. I mix Lignocaine with Sodium Bicarbonate to reduce sting, Small needle (27G), slow (really really slow) subdermal infiltration, let it work and then subsequent dermal injections are pain free. Levobupivicaine for post op pain relief.

Curious about everyone's take on LA mixing. Personally? I prefer to keep things unmixed. 🚫 Thoughts?

The Aberdeen knot is different. Instead of tying to the 2 strands, instead you'll use the single strand to go through the loop that is made by the other 2 strands. Here, I'm holding the loop open with my R hand and using one of my R fingers to grab the string.

@Orthopod_Errant Application forms differ for trust grade / non NTN roles. It’s a real shame because one of the joys of working with people so closely is getting to know them as people. Starts with the application.

@RikkiMistry Which part of the applications allows them to write about themselves? Last I checked it was still self-assessment followed by interviews.
